I just finished writing my first beauty story for Cosmo and I’m so excited about it! There’s nothing like discovering a passion and being able to do something about it. There’s still a lot to learn, but I think it’ll be a fun process. When I was a fresh grad (which was like—gasp!—four years ago), I had no idea what I wanted to do. I gravitated towards a call center job and decided to give it a go. Although I moved up and made a few good friends, it wasn’t something I could see myself doing forever. After two years, I decided to risk it and quit. A few boring jobs later, I learned about an opening in Cosmo and gathered the courage to apply as an editorial assistant. It was my dream job then, and now, I’m discovering more things to love about it. What I learned from my job-hopping experiences: Sometimes you have to spend time doing something you really don’t want to do in order to find out where you want to be. Hope you find your passion and watch out for my Celebrity Tipid Tricks beauty story in the October issue :)

Hi Nicole! I was just wondering, what course did you take up in college?
Hi Jenny!
Sorry for the late reply. I’ve been on vacation leave for the past three weeks.
Anyway, I took up Interdisciplinary Studies in Ateneo. The course allows you to choose two tracks you’d like to focus on (Management Engineering and Communication for me) based on your interests. If maximized correctly, it’s a great course because it allows you to take the classes you really want.
Hope this helps and thanks for writing in!=)
