Sneak Peek!
August 28th, 2006 by C.Posted in Life at Cosmo |
While working on a story for Cosmo, I (with Cosmo managing ed Zo) found myself exploring areas in the city that I haven’t set foot on in ages…like Divisoria, Baclaran, Binondo, 168, and more. Well, the cheap prices and great finds were worth the sweat and the endless walking. Plus, we also got to sightsee and take pictures. Check out our mala-tourista pics in front of Binondo Church. Fun!
Here’s a teaser of some of the areas we visited. Watch out for the full details and complete shopping guide in Cosmo’s October issue—our Budget issue!
Divisoria
So far, the best place we’ve gone to because of the ultra cheap prices of clothes, shoes, accessories, and fabric. Street shopping galore!
Binondo
Ongpin Street in Binondo is the best place to have a foodfest! We passed by several Chinese stores and bakeries, and everything looked yummy.
Baclaran
Easily accessible, but don’t be pressured by the tinderas! One tindera got mad at us and told us off after we examined some shirts but didn’t buy.
168
Such a fashion haven! We couldn’t get enough of the cheap clothes and shoes! Zo and I purchased sexy, low-heeled closed toe shoes for only P250. What a deal!

can i ask where is 168? i just came back from kuwait and got no idea where this place is.
by the way thanks for the tips.
Hello! 168 is in Binondo. Just go to the Binondo area, go past Binondo Church then turn right at Reina Regente st. You’ll see it there and you can park in the mall. :-) Happy shopping!
