Karma at the Office

I was met with a cool treat last Saturday when I came into the office to do a little work: a film crew was set up for shooting in our offices, with Bianca King and Cosmo cover girl Angelica Panganiban! Fun! Bianca explained that the movie, called Karma, is part of a horror trilogy for the film fest in December. Bianca and Angelica play magazine editors of “Celebrity” magazine, and they each become trapped within an old locket that puts them under its curse when worn.
Red had a funny observation. “They’re not styled the way we really look,” he whispered over my cubicle, as the shoot went on, just feet away from us. The cast was dressed in sleek black clothes, tailored jackets and hot high heels. I looked at myself.T-shirt, palda, worn-out flats. No makeup pa! At least Red was in a tie!
Anyway, the shoot was pretty cool. It wasn’t as chaotic as I thought it would be, and people worked very, very hard. The best part, Bianca and Angelica didn’t act like divas on the set with an entourage and big powder puffs running after them. They just hung around, chatted, worked. Like the rest of us!

Ya, they were sipping sodas from takeout cups, and eating takeout fast food that they shared in our conference room. Nice to know there are some celebs who still keep it real, right? Thanks Myla!

It’s nice to know that someone who looks “sosyal” like Bianca King is not pa-VIP and she is humble enough not to demand for expensive food be brought to their set.
