Monday Blues

“Hey, C., need a ride home?”
Paeng, again. Dropping by my desk after five to see if I wanted to hitch with him. As luck would have it, my apartment is on the way to his house. He’s makulit, but harmless. And, I have to admit, I don’t have the heart to be mean to him in any way.
Besides, the attention is flattering. And honestly, I need to be distracted from my praning thoughts about Marcus.
I’ve just realized that I’ve forgotten to ask him about the girl he was with the weekend I saw him at the mall. Perhaps, the real reason why we’re no longer meeting up for our regular coffee dates is the fact that Marcus is already seeing someone else.
Frightening thought. Gosh, if only he weren’t so cute and sexy!
“C.?”
Paeng was still waiting to find out if I’d be going home with him. I’ve never taken up his offer. I always seemed to have extra work left over at the end of the day. Tsk. Bad time management!
Today, though, I noticed that Marcus was still in the office. Visions of us in some steamy, sexy session got the better of me.
“Sorry,” I told Paeng apologetically. “I really should stay.” And wait for Marcus, I told myself silently.

i don’t think that’s a good idea girl…
enjoy every moment you have with friends. if i remember it right someone told me that, the more you look unavailable, the more “that man” will seek you. it may work for. why don’t we give it a try?
